Urban Remedy was founded with the belief that it should be easy for anyone to get the freshest, highest quality prepared foods, made from the most incredible ingredients. Every part of our business is built around this core belief- including our manufacturing and shipping processes. Our products are packaged at our Richmond, CA headquarters- close to the farms that grow our produce. Advances in science and technology – including High Pressure Pascalization (HPP)- allow us to deliver our products to you at peak freshness and ready to eat, using high speed shipping.

We created a high speed shipping and fulfillment system that ensures our products reach you at peak freshness and tastiness, ready to eat. No prep. No hassle. Just track your package once we send it to you to watch your delivery timeline through one of our partner carriers!
Can you ship to me?
Urban Remedy is proud to offer guaranteed delivery anywhere within the United States. For orders outside of California, we deliver Tuesday-Thursday with a $95 order minimum. For orders within California, we deliver Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday with an order minimum of $50. No matter where you live, enjoy no additional shipping charge! For those who prefer Saturday delivery, a $15 premium weekend shipping fee will be added.
When will my products arrive?
After you have selected your items, you will choose your delivery date at checkout. The delivery dates will be determined by your shipping zip code, as well as the products you choose! Our carriers usually deliver to our clients later in the day. Please remember to begin a Meal Plan or Juice Cleanse the morning after you receive your shipment. Our order cut off time for the earliest available delivery date on the website is 4:59 pm PT and not a moment after. This ensures the quality and timeliness of our made-to-order products.

Where does your produce come from?
We take pride in our 100% organic produce from local farmers who practice organic, sustainable farming methods. Sourcing locally not only ensures the freshest, most flavorful product, but also supports the environment (smaller carbon footprint!) and our neighboring communities.
Are Urban Remedy juices and juice cleanses organic?
Yes. Our complete line of cold-pressed juices, nut milks, and shakes are always made with organic ingredients. We have always sourced 100% organic produce, but are especially thrilled to be the first juice company based in the San Francisco Bay Area to achieve the distinction of USDA certification. The USDA organic seal is reserved exclusively for 100% certified organic products.
What’s the environmental impact?
We maintain a small carbon footprint by sourcing from local farms that independently practice pesticide-and herbicide-free farming. Our products come in PETE #1 BPA-Free plastic bottles as well as containers, which are recyclable.

We produce locally out of Richmond, CA.
What is high-pressure processing?
High Pressure Pascalization (HPP) retains food and juice quality, maintains natural quality, and extends microbiological shelf life without the addition of heat, which can degrade nutrients. After our juice is bottled, a high level of cool pressure is applied evenly to inactivate any pathogens, and ensures the juice is safe to drink while preserving all of the vitamins, enzymes, and nutrients.
What is cold pressing?
We cold press, hydraulically, after grinding or cutting our produce into a fine pulp. Then we apply thousands of pounds of pressure to the pulp extracting every ounce of juice that the fruit or vegetable has to give. This results in your receiving the most nutritional value possible.
How long do the products last?
Urban Remedy believes that good food goes bad, and that’s a good thing. For online orders, you should consume your bottled beverages within 9 days from delivery (and always within 3 days of opening), and the beverages will always come marked with a more exact expiration date. Be sure to always keep them refrigerated and never frozen, as they are perishable but don’t do well in the freezer. You should consume your fresh salads, meals, and desserts within 4 days from delivery, and these items will always come marked with an expiration date. Our energy bars and dehydrated snacks have weeks of shelf life and are also marked with expiration dates. Note that our desserts and energy bars do need to be refrigerated.
I thought that cold-pressed juices were only “good” for 3 to 5 days. What changed?
Early on, the best and freshest juice came in 100% raw form, produced using a centrifugal juicer, resulting in a juice that was pulpy, gritty and good for only a few hours. Since then, advances in science and hydraulic pressing technology have extended the shelf life of cold-pressed juice. Now, we’ve discovered that the use of a pressure process, called High Pressure Pascalization (HPP) allows that nutrient-dense juice to live a little bit longer, while inhibiting microflora growth.
How should I store my juice?
Keep it chilly in the fridge until you’re ready to drink it!
Why does the juice sometimes look or taste slightly different?
Our juices are all handcrafted in individual batches, so variations may occur at times.
Why does my juice settle or separate?
Urban Remedy’s juice has no additives, and only additives can prevent the natural settling process. Before drinking, be sure to give your juice a nice shake!
What are the white specks in my juice?
Juices that contain ginger may have white specks in the bottom of the juice bottle. Not to worry! This is totally normal.
Why are there clumps in the Nut Milk?
The protein from the Cashew may clump from time to time as a natural side effect of the pressurization (also known as High Pressure Pascalization); we assure you that this is completely normal, and the juice is still great and safe to consume. We suggest shaking well, and for best results, put the contents in a blender and give it a nice pulse before consuming! If you want a perfectly smooth texture, you can always strain the nut juice just as if you were making it at home!
Can my kids drink Urban Remedy?
Of course! We’ve designed the taste profiles so that your young ones will love the juices as well. Child tested, parent approved! Keep in mind that it is recommended no one under the age of 18 participate in cleansing.
I’m allergic to nuts. Do you have nut-free products?
Yes. If you are cleansing, feel free to build a custom cleanse from any of our juices on the a la carte menu. The goal is to consume 6 of our bottled beverages per day for a full cleansing experience. However, please be aware that even our juices without nuts are prepared in the same facility as juices with nuts, so if you are severely allergic, we suggest that you skip utilizing Urban Remedy products all together.
Are Urban Remedy products Kosher certified?
The following products sold by Urban Remedy are certified Kosher: Almond Maca, Chocolate Banana, and Java Shake.
Are Urban Remedy products available by subscription?
Yes, customers can purchase cleanses and meal plans on a subscription basis, at a reduced price. To take advantage of this offer, select the Meal Plan or Cleanse of your choice, click the ‘Subscription’ button, and decide how often and on what dates you would like to receive your order. You can manage your subscriptions moving forward in your Account Section. Remember, you must create an account on the Urban Remedy website first before you start a subscription!
When am I charged for my subscription?
When you set up a subscription, you will be billed immediately for the first shipment. You’ll be charged for each subsequent shipment 1-2 days before delivery. Please allow a few days for the charge to show on your account.
How do I cancel or change a subscription?
You can cancel your subscriptions in your Account Section on the website, be sure you’re signed in. If you would like to change the products in your subscription, your delivery date, or put your subscription on hold, simply email customer service at email@example.com or give us a call at 1-855-UR-JUICE . We would be happy to assist you.
Why should I do a juice cleanse?
Juicing is a great opportunity to enhance your immediate and long-term health, no matter what shape your body is in. Juicing can help you lose weight, clear your skin and support your body in healing from injury and dis-ease. Doing a cleanse gives your digestive system rest, allowing your body to put the energy normally used for digestion into detoxification, recovery and healing. Juicers usually experience an influx of energy, clarity, relaxation and joy, but experiences may vary. (Remember, during this experience, it is important to continue drinking water in addition to your Urban Remedy products). Because you’re digesting a consistent amount of calories and nutrients throughout the day, rather than big meals, your energy levels will stabilize; i.e., no more post-lunch comas! Juicing is also a great way to strengthen your immune system and consume more nutrients than you are normally with solid foods. Our bodies love the love!
When is a good time to cleanse?
The optimal time to cleanse is when you can create the best circumstances to support your cleanse. Do your cleanse when you have some free time to reflect or rest, uphold your willpower and create intention around your cleanse. In addition, cleansing is a great time to re-affirm your commitments to your health and to your life. Set yourself up for success; ask your friends and family to support you and cut out time for reflection and relaxation, away from big events where there would normally be focus around heavy foods. Going on a vacation in the United States and have some time for R&R? Urban Remedy will be happy to ship our products directly to your hotel for a wonderful getaway experience. Cleansing with a friend or family member is another great way to feel supported. We believe in you! How do I prepare for my juice cleanse?
In the days leading up to a cleanse, follow our recommendations and avoiding certain fatty foods, processed items, sugars, alcohol and heavy meats to prepare your body to get the most out of your cleanse. If you tend to have a healthy diet, eating organic fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, organic meats and eggs and drinking 8 glasses of water a day, with the occasional glass of wine, you should be fine doing a 3-day preparation. How do I cleanse?
Begin your day with a warm cup of water and juice of 1/2 a lemon. You will begin cleansing around 9-10am, and enjoy your juices in 2 hour increments. Don’t forget to drink water in between juices. For full instructions on cleansing visit www.urbanremedy.com/how-to-cleanse
Can I eat during my juice cleanse?
It’s up to you. We recommend a 100% juice cleanse, if possible, because eating slows down the cleansing process. If you feel that you need to eat during your cleanse, choose organic fruits, vegetables or soaked nuts and seeds.
Can I exercise during my cleanse?
Yes, but we do suggest limiting yourself to light exercise, such as walks, yoga, stretching, etc. Your energy levels will change when you’re on a cleanse, so check in with your body before exercising.
How many calories are in each juice cleanse?
Each level offers between 615 – 1100 calories. Please bear in mind that calorie counts with raw foods and juice are not equivalent to calorie counts on a traditional diet of cooked and/or processed foods. Nothing is wasted here, as the body knows how to assimilate all the calories in whole foods, whereas a regular diet of 2,000 calories for example, might only have about 1200 usable calories and the rest is “wasted” or stored as fat. We do try to encourage all our clients to move away from calorie oriented thinking, as it’s really no comparison. We try to focus on the nutritional content as opposed to the calorie content; Urban Remedy is more about nutrition and flooding your body with live enzymes. Can I get a different juice (cleanse) each day? What about swap out products in my Meal Plan or Cleanse?
We do have 1-Day Juice Cleanse options, so you can experiment with different cleanses as you please. We do suggest starting with the Low-Glycemic and moving your way up to the Purify and then Super Green, but it’s ultimately up to you! Urban Remedy will not make changes to the design of a Meal Plan or Cleanse, however. Neka Pasquale designed these programs with the intention that the products work together in a symbiotic way, thus any changes would not adhere to their original intention. When in doubt, feel free to build your own customized meal plan from our a la carte menus!
Can I go longer than a 7-day cleanse?
Absolutely! You can cleanse for any duration of time. The longer the cleanse, the longer your body has to relax and heal itself. In addition, cleanses often get easier the longer you do them, with the first day or two being the most difficult.
How often can I do a cleanse?
This depends on your health goals! You can do it as often as you like! Sometimes people will opt for 1 Day a Week to maintain healthy lifestyles. Often people will do a cleanse monthly, or even seasonally to help their bodies transition through the seasons!
