Food Is Healing
It's not a tagline. It's a belief system.
This core Urban Remedy belief applies to people and the planet, guiding our commitment to creating positive environmental and social impact.
Our certification as a B Corp since 2018 reflects our commitment to caring for the planet, our workforce, and our customers — and to helping build healthier communities for years to come.

As of February 2026, we've purchased more than 40 million pounds of certified organic produce — supporting farming practices that nurture healthier soil, cleaner waterways, and a more vibrant planet. By avoiding synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, organic agriculture helps nature do what it does best: thrive.

The last place clean, organic food belongs is in a landfill, so we do everything we can to keep it out. Whether redistributing food nearing expiration to communities in need or diverting food scraps through composting and certified organic animal feed, as a certified B Corp, we're committed to giving every ingredient its fullest life.

Behind every bottle, bowl, and snack is a whole lot of human care. To date, Urban Remedy has helped create 395 net jobs, including 298 net new LMI jobs within our own team — and many more through our co-packers and partners. We believe caring for people matters just as much as caring for ingredients, and strive to foster a fair, thoughtful workplace through annual employee surveys and open channels for feedback.

We strive to be a healing force in our communities. Since 2016, we've supported local organizations and non-profits with donations of nourishing food, financial support, and something just as valuable — our time. Every Urban Remedy employee receives paid volunteer hours, helping turn care and compassion into action.

We believe food that heals should be more accessible, and we're proud to make organic, delicious, healing food easier to find in nearly 500 stores nationwide. Behind every bottle, bowl, and snack is an enormous effort to thoughtfully source, prepare, and deliver clean, ultra-fresh food across the country.

Our commitment to positive impact is at the core of everything we do. Urban Remedy is a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), legally expanding our responsibility beyond profit alone. Our stated public benefit is simple: to create a positive impact through organic and regenerative plant-based foods and beverages. That means considering the impact of our decisions on people, communities, and the planet alongside the long-term health of our business.
